Garry Kilworth Joins JJLA

Award-winning author Garry Kilworth has joined the John Jarrold Literary Agency.  He has written over 70 novels and over 100 short stories in SF, Fantasy and historical fiction as well as children’s fiction.  His 2006 novel Attica is being made into a film starring Johnny Depp.  His novel Rogue Officer won the 2008 Charles Whiting Award for Literature. The Ragthorn, a novella co-authored with Robert Holdstock, won the World Fantasy Award and the British SF Award in 1992.  He has been shortlisted twice for the Carnegie Medal, being runner up on the second occasion to Philip Pullman’s Northern Lights.

“I’m delighted to welcome Garry to the agency,” said John Jarrold.  “He has been a friend, and an author I have much admired, for many years.  I was fortunate enough to be asked by him and Rob Holdstock to collect their joint World Fantasy Awards in 1992 in the US, read out their acceptance speeches and ferry the awards home! The depth and involvement I have always felt when reading his fiction makes this a wonderful piece of news to pass on.”
