James Goss Joins JJLA

The latest client to join the John Jarrold Literary Agency is award-winning TV and radio producer and author James Goss.

In 2000 James was made senior content producer for the BBC and put in charge of the BBC’s official Doctor Who and the BBC’s Cult TV website.

With the return of Doctor Who in 2005, James moved to BBC Wales to oversee the phenomenally successful website for the new show, constructing a whole world beyond the show that viewers could get further involved in, In 2007, Dirk Gently – his adaptation (with Arvind David) of a Douglas Adams book – had a successful run in Los Angeles, winning 3 LA Weekly Awards.

James is now an experienced author of tie-in novels, audio books and non–fiction titles for television series franchises including Doctor Who and Torchwood. He has also written two plays for Radio Four, and written the narration scripts for several BBC America documentary series. His first standalone adult novel #haterz will be published by Solaris in 2015.

“I’ve read material from a fascinating new novel by James and other material from him – his voice and stories are wonderful and I was immediately engaged.  His plans for major novels are fabulously exciting.  I’d like to welcome him to the agency!” said John Jarrold.
