Gaie Sebold was born in the US to an American father and English mother, and has lived in the UK most of her life. She has sold short fiction and poetry (and has received Honorable Mentions in the 2004 and 2010 Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror anthology for her stories Wet Work and Eaten Cold), and had pieces performed on stage.
Her first published novel, BABYLON STEEL, (Solaris, 2012) features a heroine who is a former sword-for-hire, former avatar of the goddess of sex and war, and currently runs the best brothel in Scalentine; city of many portals, two moons, and a wide variety of races, were-creatures, and religions, not to mention the occasional insane warlock. The sequel, DANGEROUS GIFTS, is due in February 2013. She is also working on other fantasy novels.
